For anyone living within walking distance of a Care Home, a little time given to pop in and say ‘Hello’. Come with your feet! Come with your smile! Come with your happy heart!

Wandering feet

One care home was sited next-door to a Centre for Chiropody & Reflexology.A certain Mrs Walker (who should have perhaps gone first to an Optician), wandered into the care home and asked for Elaine. Some time later, Elaine slowly arrived complete with Zimmer-frame. ‘I’ve come with my feet’ said Mrs W.

The error was soon resolved and Elaine departed, happy to have had an unexpected visitor.

I was visiting an elderly relative when she was ‘being done’ by a foot-carer. The relief given to her tootsies was as nothing compared to the enjoyment of his humorous anecdotes!

For anyone living within walking distance of a Care Home, a little time given to pop in and say ‘Hello’, to someone not so mobile is guaranteed to brighten the day for them and you! Come with your feet! Come with your smile! Come with your happy heart!
