Put a spring in your step

Published on

Spring is here. The evenings are lighter and nature is waking up after a wet and windy winter.

If you’re feeling uplifted and thinking about trying something new then why not talk to us, we can offer you volunteering opportunities that will put a spring in your step and brighten the lives of older people living in residential care homes.

Whether you can spare an hour or a day each week we can help you to tailor your volunteering to suit you. You don’t need experience of working with older people, just a desire to make a difference to those in their later years who can no longer live independently but still want to enjoy life. We can put you in touch with a local residential care home and provide training and ongoing support to enable you to get the most from your volunteering.

Care homes across Essex are doing a great job but they recognise that there is always scope to do more to support their residents, particularly in helping them to engage with their local community. You’ll be given a warm welcome and make new friends so why not give it a try? We have a range of opportunities that we can discuss with you from befriending to becoming a Community Visitor to ‘behind the scenes’ support so why not get in touch for an informal chat to find out more:
