Brian Mister presents Norma Wiliams with her gold award.

“It’s just really nice to have her about!” These are the words of one colleague in appreciation of the contribution Norma Williams has made to the life of Corner House and its residents.

Norma is a regular and faithful volunteer who gives a great deal of her time and brings inexhaustible enthusiasm to help enrich the lives of people living or working at Corner House, Clacton- on-sea, in many different ways. She helps with various activities and also supports individual residents as a friend and helper with personal needs such as shopping and nail care. By giving her time and friendship she is also able to help make sure that individual concerns that might otherwise be overlooked are recognised.

Norma was presented with the My Home Life Essex Gold Award by our Chair, Brian Mister MBE, at a celebration event on Tuesday 21 October. When presenting the certificate Brian said “Norma is a mainstay of life at Corner House and was nominated for this Gold Award because colleagues and residents wished to recognise this and we’d like to join with them in saying a big thank you!”
