Care homes open their doors to the local community
Is your care home taking part in the Care home Open day? Care Home Open Day is a National initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities on 19th June 2015
Thousands of care homes across the UK take part each year, welcoming the public and arranging events and activities that help to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities,
This is all about showing people what excellent care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of local communities, developing relationships across the generations
Some care homes in Essex are using the day as an occasion to celebrate their FaNs (Friends and Neighbours) by introducing them to the FaNs concept and distributing the FaNs packs, certificates, badges, pens and logos.
Melanie, care home manager at Oakdale Residential Home in Benfleet, extends an invitation to anyone able to join the Home on the 19th June 2015. The care home staff at Oakdale will be putting on a St Trinians themed school sports event for the residents and the wider community to enjoy. Sounds like fun! Please see link below for more details.
