Lime Court Care Centre in Dovercourt share their experience of the National Care Home Open Day
Congratulations to all the care homes in Essex who opened wide their doors last Friday 19th June to celebrate national care home open day
Lime Court Care Centre in Dovercourt was kind enough to share their experience of the occasion.
Residents, their families and visitors to the home started the day with a hot beverage and yummy homemade cake. Everyone then enjoyed a Hi-De-Hi inspired summertime themed BBQ and light refreshments of delicious fruit mocktails.
To carry on the holiday camp feel a Knobbly Knees and Glamorous Granny competition was held for the residents to take part in. Congratulations to Lionel ‘Tink’ Palmer who won the Knobbly Knees and Maisie Springall who won the Glamorous Granny!
Pianist Frank Coulter then took to the stage and entertained the crowd playing songs for everyone to singalong to.
Sarah Meachen, Activities Co-ordinator said “it was a fun packed day for the residents, we all had a great time and there was a good deal of visitors to the home”.
