Amazing support for Care Home Residents from our local communities
Last week, we delivered (observing Government guidance) over 70 pairs of knitted hearts to care homes in North and Mid Essex - one heart for a resident, and one to be sent to their family. It's been a difficult time for both residents and families with visiting restrictions due to Covid-19. This has been a wonderful collaboration between FaNs and U3A Colchester (Knitting Group). Here are some very happy looking residents along with some of the hearts ready to be sent to loved ones! Residents at Springfields, Copford were feeling the love with a delivery of knitted hearts sent via FaNs and made by the U3A Colchester Knitting group.
It has been a very popular project for both the knitters and the residents (and their families). We have today collected a new batch of knitted hearts so we can offer even more! So grateful to have such amazing support from the local community 💓
