Residents get revved up for fun!

Loganberry Lodge residents recently enjoyed a trip to the 2022 Fordham Car Show!

What a day for an ice cream!

Recently, residents from Loganberry Lodge care home in Colchester were able to attend the Fordham Car Show in the North Essex countryside! On a really hot day, Paul, Mike, Roy, Betty were treated to a close up and first hand experience of all things "motors and motorcycling". Huge thanks must go the The Fordham Car Show and to Colchester's ALB for the tickets and for the donation of the accessible transport!

To have the chance to get out and be here, on this lovely sunny day, with my mates Paul and Roy around things we enjoy, well, its just wonderful. The ice cream wasn't too bad either!

Tickets were kindly donated by the Fordham Car Show themselves, who also provided a area of shade and access to the experts on site!

Giving access to the community, the whole community, is really important for an organisation like ours. It's our pleasure to welcome our older generation, especially from care homes who may not always have the opportunity to do so.

The whole crew enjoyed their day!

Being able to get out on a beautiful day like this is so important to the wellbeing of our residents. Making the most of the weather to get out and about is a rare occurrence nowadays, especially given what we've all been through recently. It's also particularly important to us, the carers, to see how it changes our older friends, bringing huge smiles to their faces! They are already looking forward to a FaNs "Pub Day"......
