Gertrude Get's Styling
We were recently contacted by Marie at Kilkee Lodge for help. One of her residents with severe dementia, Gertrude used to work as a hairdresser. Marie wanted to try and get her a styling head to try and trigger memories for her.
We put out a request on Facebook and the hairdressing department at Chelmsford College came to our rescue, donating a professional styling head.
When Marie first presented the styling head to Gertrude she didn't respond immediately, but after a short time she picked up the brush and rollers and started styling.
