Colne View Residents Enjoy Music and Dancing
The residents of Colne View Care Home in Halstead were delighted that Nancy May, Mezzo Soprano came to sing to them on October 10th. Nancy entertained the residents with a selection of songs from musicals, old favourites and some opera.
Seated in the care home cafe, 'Doyles', residents enjoyed the opportunity to sing along, and even have a dance with each other and some of the staff during the performance.
Many residents were visibly moved by many songs as they triggered memories from days gone by with friends and loved ones.
Listening to the music brings back so many lovely memories and it mades me a bit teary
